Countdown to Brazil World Cup – Group C – Greece

Greece find themselves in a group that includes Colombia, Ivory Coast and Japan and if this World Cup was being played in Europe you would give the tenacious European outfit a great chance of getting through to the next round, however they will find the conditions in South America a different kettle of fish.

At home on their own continent Greece are a tough unit to negotiate, but while they do have an outside chance of scraping into the next round, more than likely they will fail to progress beyond this stage as previous history suggests.

Colombia appear the team most likely to win Group C which means Greece will be battling with the Ivory Coast for the second spot, with Japan an outside chance of figuring in the Round of 16 equation.

Greece can defend with the best of them but scoring goals will be there problem in South America and we expect them to exit at the group stage.

They are $201 to win the 2014 World Cup and you can get $6.50 about the Greeks winning Group C.
