Mexico drew with South Africa in their first match after having much of the play and winning with a late goal before they scored a strong 2-0 win over France.

Uruguay had a scoreless draw with France before they came out and demolished hosts South Africa by three goals.

Uruguay $4.20

Mexico vs Uruguay match prediction

A draw for both sides will see them through to the next round and chances are that’s exactly how it will pan out.

Mexico could push for the win to avoid a clash with Argentina in the knockout stage so they could be worth a crack at the handicap but we like the draw here.

mexico France vs South Africa uruguay

Time: 12:00am AEST Midnight Melbourne time
Where: Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein

France are yet to score a goal at this World Cup and after drawing with Uruguay 0-0 they were then beaten by Mexico with a 2-0 scoreline.

South Africa had a bright start scoring the first goal of the tournament before eventually drawing 1-1 with Mexico but they came back to earth with a thud when Uruguay thumped them by 3 goals in their next match.

France vs South Africa Odds

France $2.25
Draw $3.30
South Africa $3.20

France vs South Africa match predictions

Problems in the French camp are well documented and their World Cup dreams have fallen apart at the seams with the team unhappy and a tempestuous Anelka sent home.

Hard to tell how France will come out here against the hosts while South Africa in their final match will out to make their country proud.

France should beat South Africa on ability alone but without knowing which France is going to turn up it’s not a game we would like to bet on.

No Bet

If you fancy France and think they will turn up to play then $2.25 is handy odds for the 2006 runner-up and Betfair could provide even better odds than that.
