Recent History

Brazil and Ivory Coast World Cup form

Brazil 2-1 North Korea
55m Maicon (Br)
72m Elano (Br)
88m Yun-Nam Ji (NK)

WCI Rating: 7.5
1st half: 3.5
2nd half: 4.0

Brazil had a couple of passengers on the night but they did what they had to do and will be better for the run.

Ivory Coast
Ivory Coast 0-0 Portugal

WCI Rating: 6.5
1st half: 3.0
2nd half: 3.5

Very solid in defence against Portugal and they had plenty of the ball through the middle but they never threatened the goal that much for all the control they had.

Brazil vs Ivory Coast Preview

Brazil were not overly impressive against North Korea but they got the job done as good teams tend to do and with that game out the way we can expect to see a more polished performance here against Cote d’Ivoire.

Ivory Coast have the physical pressure that could trouble the Brazilians and down back the Coasters have enough talent to make it difficult for Brazil going forward.

Brazil vs Ivory Coast Match Prediction

Brazil are under the odds here for ours, particularly after  their effort against North Korea and the perennial favourites always tend to be unders in the World Cup because of past history.

The Elephants are going to make life tough for the Brazilians and this looms as a danger game for Dunga’s team, although Brazil has never lost to an African nation in the World Cup.

We don’t fancy backing the Brazilians at those odds to win and don’t have enough confidence in the Ivory Coast to win, even at their great odds, so we are anticipating an attacking affair and will have a punt on the Over 2.5 goals total score for the game and hope for a goal fest.
