Australia vs Germany Match Prediction

Being Australian we will be rooting for an Aussies win at Durban and we cannot seriously consider backing a side to defeat the green and gold of Australia in the World Cup.

Putting the neutral hat back on, this is a game Germany should win all things being equal. Australia will no doubt serve it up to the Germans but our lack of penetration up forward will come back to haunt us.

Maybe now people will respect how good Mark Viduka was up forward for the Socceroos, even though he didn’t score heavily, he always brought other players into the game. Something Josh Kennedy is unable to do and he has no presence whatsoever up front for the Socceroos.

Finding a path through the German defence will be a forlorn exercise for Australia and as much as it pains us to say it, we think Germany will prove a 2 goal better side than the Aussies on the day.
