Brazil vs Germany match prediction

The only time these two teams have met at the World Cup was in Korea/Japan in 2002 where Brazil defeated Germany 2-0 in the final. Head to head they have met 21 times with Brazil holding a 12-4 record and five games drawn.

Not great statistics if you are a Germany fan, although take out Brazil’s leading tournament goal scorer Neymar and their influential captain Thiago Silva and the scales tip back the German’s way.

The return of defensive midfielder Luiz Gustavo is a plus for Brazil but they face a German side that is now firing on all cylinders and they are going to be hard to penetrate for the Brazilians without the likes of Neymar.

In a match where both sides will give their all, especially Brazil in front of their home fans, we think the draw is the way to go here.

Germany’s ability to get the job done make them the team most likely to make it through to the 2014 World Cup Final against either Argentina or the Netherlands.
