2011 Rugby World Cup Fixtures
A total of 20 nations will contest the 2011 Rugby World Cup to be held during the months of September and October 2011 in New Zealand.
The first match of the 2011 Rugby World Cup will take place on Friday 9th September 2011 between the host country New Zealand and Tonga at Eden Park in Auckland.
The 2011 Rugby World Cup Final will be played on Sunday 23rd October at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand.

Match points system
The following number of match points will be awarded for each pool phase match:
Win – 4 points
Draw - 2 points
Loss - 0 points
4 or more tries – 1 point
Loss by 7 points or less – 1 point
In the Pool stage each Team will play each other once and there will be 10 matches played in each pool, for a total of 40 matches in the pool phase of the Tournament.
The winner and runner-up in each pool qualify for the quarter-finals, while teams finishing third, fourth and fifth will be eliminated from the Tournament.
